Families with boys (1st-5th graders) who may be interested in Cub Scouting

Cub Scouting is a program that promotes character building, citizenship training, fitness, and just plain fun for first through fifth grade boys. Pack and Troop 58 are sponsored by the Konko Church of San Francisco which was founded in 1939. Den meetings are held at the Konko Church on scheduled Friday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, unless field trips are planned. Scouting is a family program. You and your son work together in planning, developing, and participating in fun-filled activities and events. Pack 58 Den Leaders are tremendous resources of this organization who are dedicated to preparing active and enriching programs for the scouts.

Our activities in past years included:

  • Police Station tour at the Hall of Justice
  • Herpetology dept. - a behind the scene tour at the Academy of Science
  • Knot Tying
  • Coast Guard Training Station - a guided tour
  • Cub Scout Fitness day at Golden Gate Park
  • Fleet Week - visit the Navy’s Guided Missile cruiser
  • Wood working
  • KGO television studio tour
  • Lake Tahoe - Winter activities
  • Clam digging at Bodega Bay
  • Overnight camp at Lake Delvalle
  • Pinewood derby car race
  • Mothers Day brunch
  • Family camping at Camp Wente in Willits
  • Parent’s night out

Troop Meeting Information

Meetings are held downstairs at the Konko Church of San Francisco.

  1. Friday evenings at 7:00pm until 8:30pm unless noted above.
  2. Patrol council meetings are held 15 minutes after troop meeting.
  3. Schedule subject to change.
